Clarkson’s Ring is a two-piece 340° steel hoop designed to fit inside a farrowing ark and create a safe zone for piglets by providing a dedicated corridor between the sow and the wall. Designed from a farmer’s practical experience, the ring ensures piglets have a secure escape route and space of their own — helping reduce crushing risk and improve welfare in outdoor production systems. Constructed from 40 mm mild steel tube, supported by six laser-cut steel-plate legs with ground shoes, the ring is mounted 240 mm above ground level and 150 mm away from the ark wall for optimal positioning. Its galvanized finish delivers long life in demanding conditions.
